Amoxicillin + clavulanic acid injectable antibiotic for dogs, cats and livestock
Augmentin injectable antibiotic contains amoxicillin and clavulanic acid, a broad-spectrum combination antibiotic used to treat a wide range of bacterial infections in dogs, cats, and livestock. Clavulanic acid overcomes bacterial resistance to amoxicillin alone.
Amoxicillin + clavulanic acid injectable antibiotic for dogs, cats and livestock
Amoxicillin Trihydrate 875 mg + Potassium Clavulanate 125 mg per 1.2 g, Or: Amoxicillin Sodium 1 g + Potassium Clavulanate 200 mg (for intravenous injection)
Dogs and cats: 12.5-25 mg/kg of amoxicillin by injection twice daily Livestock: 8.75 mg/kg intramuscularly or subcutaneously daily Treatment duration: 5-7 days or as recommended by a veterinarian Administer by intramuscular, intravenous, or subcutaneous injection Do not administer to rabbits, guinea pigs, or rodents
Store in a cool, dry place at a temperature below 25°C Keep away from direct light and moisture Keep out of reach of children After preparation (reconstitution): use immediately or within a few hours Do not freeze the prepared solution
Do not use in rabbits, rodents, and guinea pigs (risk of fatal diarrhea) May cause allergic reactions in animals known to be sensitive to penicillin Meat withdrawal period: 7 days Milk withdrawal period: 48 hours Consult a veterinarian before use For veterinary use only
